Method
- Mix soy sauce, mirin, sugar, grated garlic, grated ginger, and grated onion.
- Season the beef lightly with salt and pepper.
- Melt the beef fat in a cast iron skillet and cook the beef over medium heat until about 80% done.
- Push the beef to the side and add the rice to the center of the pan. Add sweet corn if using.
- Pour in the sauce, then add butter if using and green onion. Finish with plenty of black pepper.
