Pepper Lunch at Home — Copycat Beef Pepper Lunch on a Sizzling Skillet

Ingredients
  

  • Beef & Seasoning
  • LB Beef
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Pepper
  • Sauce
  • 1.5 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1.5 tbsp Mirin
  • ¾ tbsp Sugar
  • ½ tsp Garlic grated
  • ½ tsp Ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp Onion grated — (optional)
  • To Finish
  • 1 tsp Beef fat
  • 1 bowl Cooked rice
  • ¼ cup Sweet corn
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tbsp Green onion chopped
  • ½ tsp Black pepper or more, to taste

Method
 

  1. Mix soy sauce, mirin, sugar, grated garlic, grated ginger, and grated onion.
  2. Season the beef lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Melt the beef fat in a cast iron skillet and cook the beef over medium heat until about 80% done.
  4. Push the beef to the side and add the rice to the center of the pan. Add sweet corn if using.
  5. Pour in the sauce, then add butter if using and green onion. Finish with plenty of black pepper.
